Registered Nurse needed for busy infertility surgery practice with worldwide patient base. Practice exclusively provides sterilization reversal surgery to patients who travel to Raleigh from across the United States. Excellent computer skills are essential. Must be proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel. The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including heavy phone volume, patient education/consultations, e-mail, and data entry in an organized manner. Job responsibilities include:
Direct patient care responsibilities:
* Patient counseling before surgery
* Pre-operative evaluation and intake
* Circulating in office operating room
* Post-operative care and patient recovery
* Post-operative incision care and patient counseling
Office based responsibilities:
* Promoting the practice to potential patients through internet, e-mail activities, and phone
* Scheduling patients and conducting pre-operative nursing assessment by phone
* Assisting the Medical Director with evaluation of patient medical records
Dependability and willingness to exceed patient and employer expectations is crucial. Competitive salary and benefits will commensurate. Spanish speaking a plus, but not required. Resume and cover letter are required to be considered for this position.
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, no on-call responsibility and no weekend or holiday work is required. On-site parking is available. Background check required for employment.
