ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems
Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.
Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
Keeps current all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
Provides technical support to customers.
Maintain and submit PM Sheets
Occasional overtime and weekends will be required. Night and weekend emergency on-call availability is required
Qualifications:
5+ years' service and controls experience is preferred
Professional appearance
Skilled at troubleshooting system problems
Excellent written / verbal communication skills with ability to interact with customers
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Ability to climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift objects of 50+ lbs.
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with clean driving record
Ability to pass pre-employment screening and drug test
Ability to read, write and speak English
Basic computer or cell phone skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF’s
