We are looking to hire a full-time Spiral/ tubeformer operator making spiral and oval ductwork.
General Duties:
⢠Run the spiral machine making spiral duct from 6"-50" round lengths.
⢠Cut holes in specific locations for grills to be installed.
⢠Fabricate simple fittings, ie. elbows, transitions, offsets.
⢠Communicate with the shop floor manager on a daily basis to keep up with shop schedules.
⢠Follow of all safety/ OSHA standards in the shop and participate in monthly safety meetings.
⢠Clean up daily as assigned by manager.
⢠Must be able to lift 50+lbs consistently.
⢠Utilizes tape measures, shears, saws, air hammer
⢠Help leed wrap and get parts ready for shipment
⢠Checks quality during the run.
⢠Stops the machine if any mechanical malfunction occurs.
⢠Accurately counts the quantity and checks off product on shipping list.
⢠Keeps the machine and surrounding area clean.
⢠Verifies production matches customer work orders.
⢠Complete daily production report.
Preferred Experience, Skills and Requirements:
⢠Sheet metal knowledge.
o Know how to run the following machines:
ï§ Gorelock machine
ï§ snaplock
ï§ Large Pittsburg
ï§ TDC Rollformer
ï§ Shear
ï§ Press brake
o These machines are also in our shop and would be a bonus if you can operate:
ï§ Whisper-lock Pittsburgh seam closer
ï§ Cornermatic
ï§ Stitch welder
⢠Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented ability to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
⢠Ambition, high energy and customer service oriented
⢠Must be able to communicate and take directions in English as part of our OSHA safety policy.
⢠Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a fabrication shop.
⢠Minimum 40 hour work week (7:00a.m. - 3:30 p.m. lunch break from 11:00-11:30) with some overtime.
⢠Ability to pass background screen, drug screen, and clean MVR.
