Kalisher is a well-established, fast paced company that creates and curates art for
hospitality and healthcare industries around the world. We are seeking a technically
gifted and conceptually driven artist to make an immediate impact on our Studio Art
team located at our headquarters in Carrboro, NC.
The Studio Artist is responsible for taking art direction (both internal and external) to create
new work, source images and modify existing content, and develop art packages on a
daily deliverable schedule. Skill set must include a combination of digital and
traditional media and methods. This is an in-house, full time position in a collaborative,
team-based environment requiring both a strong conceptual ability as well as an
excellent understanding of the foundations of visual art.
This is not a graphic design/marketing position.
Requirements:
⢠Bachelor's or Associate degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
⢠High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, namely Photoshop, Illustrator, and inDesign
⢠Digital and traditional drawing skills
⢠Exceptional understanding of the foundations and principles of design
⢠Exceptional time management skills
⢠Proficiency in Mac OS
⢠Experience in drawing, painting, textile/surface design, photography, and/or illustration
⢠Strong ability to creatively solve problems in a team-oriented environment
⢠Experience with 3D software such as Sketchup or other comparable applications a plus
⢠1-2 years experience working in a commercial art or similar environment
