Summary: Come join our salon family! We are an established salon of 10 years under new ownership that is seeking two commissioned Hair Stylist to round-out our eight chairs. We are looking for inspired professionals to work in a friendly, family, and trendy oriented environment where we work together as a team to learn, educate, teach, and uplift not only each other, but our clients as well. The salon provides receptionist, stations, towels, Wi-Fi, laundry on site, all back bar products (color) and refreshments for your clients. Requirements
High school diploma or GED
A valid Cosmetology License
Positive energy and attitude
Decision making / decisiveness
Adaptability / flexibility
Driver license
Time management skills
Ability to work weekends, opening shifts or closing shifts

Interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
Preferred
Hair Styling: 2 years experience, licensed with color, highlights, short and long cuts, balayage, and hair treatment
Growing / established clientele
Evidence documenting ongoing career growth and education
Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques
Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths
Familiarity with hair treatment products and services
Up-to-date with industry trends
Written and verbal communication and proficient computer skills
Responsibilities
Consult with customers to provide options for services
Wash, rinse and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalp)
Cut, trim and shave hair using professional equipment
Apply a wide range of hair coloring techniques, like highlights, ombre and balayage
Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns
Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. color protection creams and hydrating masks)
Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences
Manage bookings and serve walk-ins
Ensure tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed
Cross-sell hair care products or services, when appropriate
Recommend and apply hair care treatments and products as needed.
Provide our guests education and recommendations on products, services, and treatments to assist them in their beauty needs
Promote all of our products, services and treatments
Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
