We are pleased to announce expansion to our team at Stackhouse Management. We are branching out and starting to perform all of the aspects to complete site work in-house. This eliminates the need for outside contractors, offers job stability and growth, as well as increases profitability within the company that we can in return invest into our employees.

We are currently looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. Interested candidates should have thorough and in-field experience in site work development. This includes erosion, rough grading, fine grading, and utilities.

Job Details

- Experience operating bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, are a must. The willingness and ability to learn how to effectively and safely operate any other machinery and/or tools is also desired.

o Perform pre-operational inspection of machinery before work begins each day. This includes checking oil, fluids, etc. and replenishing as needed.

o Perform Daily preventative maintenance on machines and tools before leaving the job each day. This includes greasing, fueling, and any light duty maintenance that may be needed, cleaning components of tools and equipment, and may include performing basic corrective repairs.

- Thorough experience in erosion control, rough grading as well as fine grading job sites.

o Clearing and hauling

o Fine grading for building pads

o Checking Grade to make sure it is in compliance with job requirements

o Erosion – installation of silt fencing, diversion ditches, sediment traps/basins, etc.

- Utilities experience is desired as well.

o Experience in all aspects of installing sewer, water, and storm drains.

o Safely performing trench excavations for the required utilities that meet and/or exceed OSHA requirements and regulations.

- This job will also require a variety of different duties as the need arises from day to day. This can include operation of multiple machines, ground work such as installing silt fencing, using shovel and other hand tools as job may require.

Qualifications and Experience

- High School diploma/GED equivalency

- 2+years verifiable experience operating heavy equipment

- Valid NC drivers license is a MUST - CDL endorsement is a plus

- Willingness to work through all seasons and conditions, including slight rain, snow, cold, heat, etc.

- Must be able to tolerate a loud work environment

- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations

- Weekend work (Saturday) may be required depending on job needs, scheduling conflicts, weather permitting, etc.

- Must be dependable, show up on time, and a team player to be successful with our company. Hours are typically Monday – Friday from 7am to 5:30pm.(subject to change with seasons) These hours and requirements are subject to change with reasonable notice depending on job specifications, deadlines, contractor needs, etc.

- Any OSHA certifications, trench safety certificates, etc. are a plus

- Benefits package offered can vary depending on experience and qualifications. This will be discussed during interview process with interested applicants.

- Pay rate is hourly and will vary with experience and skill level. Pay period is bi-weekly.
