OVERVIEW

We are looking for experienced electricians to work under the direction of the Project Manager/Master Electrician for a large commercial project. He/She should have solid skills in troubleshooting and a good working knowledge of proper safety procedures. The electrician will also help ensure that all work installed is completed in accordance with the standards set forth by Millers Multi Trade LLC ("MMT") and the National Electrical Code ("NEC"). All work, within controllable factors, shall be completed on budget, on time, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards and with the highest level of professionalism.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5-10 years of commercial electrical experience (with references).

High school diploma or equivalent.

Possess own tools and reliable transportation.

Must agree to a criminal background check and drug screen.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using hand tools, small power tools, shop machines, and heavy equipment.

Experience inspecting installation sites.

Experience studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.

Experience installing and mounting electronic controls, device panels, sensors, and components.

Experience installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment following drawings of electrical layouts and building plans.

Experience testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using appropriate testing devices.

Ability to appropriately diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components using testing equipment and hand tools in order to locate the cause of breakdowns and take appropriate steps to correct the problems.

Ability to instruct and train workers to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Following a phone interview, the candidate demonstrates enthusiastic agreement with the vision and mission of MMT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Tests electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility

Documents actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of situations and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation

Repairs electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices

Determines the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps

Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor

Uses ladders, scaffolding, platforms and lifts competently and confidently to work on electrical systems

Answers emergency calls quickly, assesses the safety of the situation upon first arriving at the scene and provide directions to individuals affected by the electrical emergency to ensure their continued safety and comfort

Maintains equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; reports any issues to immediate supervisor

Performs other duties as assigned by company leadership.
