Raleigh, NC FedEx Contractor seeks safe and experienced delivery drivers, as well as individuals without delivery driving experience who want to be trained as delivery drivers.
Job responsibilities will be to specifically to load and operate delivery trucks up to 22 feet long, for deliveries and package pick-ups at homes and local businesses in a dedicated area of Raleigh, NC.
Candidates who are hired that hold commercial driving experience will undergo a training period related to the operation of company technology (package scanners) and safe driver training.
Candidates who are hired that do not hold commercial driving experience will undergo a more intense training program, that will involve classroom style training as well as training in safe driving techniques.
Background requirements of this position:
If you hold commercial driving experience:
One year of commercial driving experience (driving as all or part of your job) in the past three years, or five years experience in the last ten years and that history can be verified through your former employers. Although NO CDL IS REQUIRED, the ideal candidate will have driven a larger vehicle (16 foot box truck or larger) and someone who has experience/comfortable with handling and lifting heavy packages.
If you do not hold commercial driving experience:
Experience working in warehouse or construction settings, or experience operating a forklift or other heavy machinery.
The following will apply to all applicants:
Clean driving record, no excessive speeding, recent accidents.
Willing to undertake work activity that is physical; specifically being capable of lifting and loading heavy packages in and out of commercial trucks throughout the day.
No prior physical conditions that could be made worse due to physical activity
Able to pass a criminal background check; no misdemeanor record related to theft, violence or drugs and no felony convictions.
Able to pass a pre-employment controlled substance test.
You must be a person of strong moral character who is honest, trustworthy and treats colleagues and customers with respect.

Salary/Benefits:
Our pay is competitive. After proven success period, new employees will be placed on a weekly bonus pay program, and on a "stop-pay rate" plan, all of which results in significant wage increases.
Other companies may advertise higher daily rates of pay, but beware that those may be top-end pay amounts that will take time to reach and you may not be paid higher when you are asked to delivery more packages.

HIRING INCENTIVE - All applicants hired before September 30, 2021, and remain employed (at their own choosing/do not quit) through December 10, 2021, will receive a pre-tax Christmas bonus payment of $650 on top of their salary. Employment does not end on December 10, 2021.
Work Week:
Our business operates seven days a week, however all employees work either 5-6 days in a 7 day period. Some weekend work required.
