System Engineer Microsoft Exchange for SaaS integration
Raleigh, NC (remote for the foreseeable future)The successful candidate will be a key subject matter expert for infrastructure design and implementation of our Exchange platform. The role will require the ability to, design, test, install, configure and troubleshoot the product and components that make up the globally distributed deployment of Exchange Infrastructure. The candidate will join an existing team of EngOps. He/She will contribute to a variety of Projects, which require a integration into our Mail platform.Role Detail:
This core infrastructure-engineering role would require the successful applicant to
" Develop/Enhance and Maintain the existing Exchange online (O365) and Exchange on Premise platform with the following components in mind
o platform security, authentication, certificate trust models
o Server architecture
o disaster recovery and BCM
o storage optimization
o existing 3rd party components
o tools and processes required to operate a global Mail service
o documentation of the service and its associated software, tools and processes
o patches and service packs are evaluated, tested and made available to the support organization
o Integration of SaaS applications into Exchange online and Exchange on Premise.
" Engage with the global support organization to ensure their requirements are understood and fulfilled, to effectively operate and support the product.
" Work with product vendor(s) on escalation issues
" Understand how our products function as part of the broader internal landscape and how they add value to our customers.Required Skills:
" Excellent understanding of the capabilities of Exchange 2016 and Exchange Online (O365)
" Expertise in engineering Exchange Infrastructure in a global environment
" Strong understanding of IIS, DNS and network load balancing
" Strong PowerShell skills including SQL queries and PowerShell cmdlets etc.
" Working understanding of Kerberos authentication and delegation
" Working understanding of OAuth authentication and EWS integration for externally hosted applications.
" Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline
" Fluent written and spoken English.
" Excellent oral and written communication skillsDesired Skills:
" Excellent Exchange 2016 Experience
Excellent Understanding Office365 / Exchange online / OneDrive for Business
" User Migrations between different Exchange versions
