If you love working with cutting edge technologies, dynamic and high performing teams, then this is the right next step in advancing your career.You will be challenged to design and develop cloud applications and services leveraging a wide variety of open source, machine learning, and commercial technologies aimed at dramatically expanding the reach of the IBM Cloud to millions of enterprise developers.Our focus on delivering performance and predictability for our customers' most demanding workloads, at global scale and with leadership, efficiency, resiliency and security is the cornerstone of our development model and will result in maintaining IBM’s leadership position for years to come.As a Senior Project Manager on the engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in managing project aspects related to the IBM engineering team, our partners, and our end customers.You will also be responsible for working across teams to manage resources and interdependencies as required. You will be tasked with challenging and novel situations every day and coordinating high profile projects across multiple teams. You will have the opportunity to interface with a wide variety of other technology teams across IBM as well as high visibility customers.Candidates should be willing to roll up their sleeves and complete the definition and set-up work required and have a high level of ownership and accountability throughout the entire project life cycle. The Senior Project Manager will engage with multiple application development squads of 5-10 members each, including business analysts,designer, and developers. You will lead all processes utilizing an agile methodology. your responsibilities will include:
Program Management and Accountability
Program Governance
Resource Staffing Plans
Schedule management
Communication Plan
Coordination with other teams.
Deliverable review and submission.
Leading daily scrums, or regular scrum of scrum meetings
Dynamic ability to manage customer/partner requirements and challenges.
Risk Management and Mitigation
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 3 years experience managing complex projects, including scope analysis, commitment and dependency tracking, managing issues and risk mitigation
Agile development methodologies employing CI/CD
Experience with Github
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Candidates should have experience with Cloud Architecture and Design as well as ability and background, to support Cloud Deployments.
Working knowledge of SaaS release methodologies
Experience with Aha!
PMP certification
