Summary Classical Conversations (CC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Intelligence and Reporting Manager to lead teams of in-office, near-shore, and off-shore developers and data analysts who are responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our data warehouse and related reporting systems. This person will lead internal and external teams to gather customer reporting requirements while providing support to understand system data and how to integrate it. The ideal candidate is passionate about mentoring team members toward professional growth. Minimum Qualifications
Must be willing to relocate to Southern Pines, NC (paid relocation)
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical degree
5-7 years of experience in data warehousing, data quality, analytics, and reporting as an individual contributor
1-3 years of experience supervising (preferred)
Ability to work with and lead teams to meet business needs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Broad and extensive knowledge of at least one data warehousing architecture (Kimball or Inmon)
Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns
Knowledge of the impacts of cloud systems on data warehousing and reporting design choices
Knowledge of data quality’s five characteristics, what they mean, and how to measure them
Extensive experience with various reporting and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, SSRS)
Extensive knowledge of ETL tools and design patterns (SSIS)
Extensive experience helping business units to determine the best metrics from available data and to interpret the results (analytics)
Knowledge of data modeling and experience with database design – prefer experience with SQL Server
Extensive knowledge of ANSI SQL as well as SQL Server additions
Knowledge of various coding methods and computer languages – prefer experience with Python, T-SQL, PHP, JavaScript, or C#
Some knowledge of geospatial systems and data structures (preferred)
Knowledge of project management and bug tracking systems
Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead teams
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage direct reports and supervise work assignments for all developers and analysts
Provide performance evaluations to team members on a regular basis
Mentor team members toward professional and personal growth
Essential Functions
Provide subject matter expertise to business unit clients and project managers
Provide project design documents and work estimates to project managers for requested work
Lead team efforts to find new sources of information and incorporate new information into the data warehouse
Manage, guide, and assist BI and Reporting teams throughout the delivery process
Lead team efforts to troubleshoot and resolve issues with code or design of data warehouse or reporting systems
Lead team efforts to resolve production support issues
Assure BI and Reporting teams apply architectural and developmental standards and follow best practices
Provide regular progress reports to CIO
Contribute to the IT culture as measured by IT team member engagement
