Description Assists with recruitment including; updating job descriptions, posting jobs, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks and drafting offer letters. Tracks, schedules and prepares paperwork for new hire/benefits orientations in advance of meetings. Coordinates with agencies to screen and on board contingent workforce. Screens new hire employment eligibility via E-Verify within the first three days of employment. Prepares, organizes and tracks documentation and processing of new hires, rehires, and terminations in an accurate and timely manner, ensures all documentation is in order and filed appropriately. Collects benefits enrollment forms and reviews for accuracy and completion, submits to HR Manager. Assists with annual open enrollment. Completes employment verification in a timely manner and accurate manner. Inputs, updates, and processes sensitive employee information requiring absolute confidentiality and professionalism. Provides initial Leave packets to employees, as requested and in compliance with FMLA, ADA and other local, State and Federal leave laws. Assists employees and supervisors with basic questions regarding HR policies and procedures, refers all non-routine, complex and/or sensitive issues to HR Manager or HR Director. Maintains records, including filing and general organization, record retrieval, archiving and purging. Creates, maintains, and verifies various reports, as assigned. Provides backup to the front desk for breaks and meal periods. Assists in organizing company events. Represents Nelson in an ethical and professional manner in all interactions. Assists in continuous improvement initiatives to automate tasks and increase efficiencies. Inspires and promotes teamwork and positive morale.
