Position OverviewAs
part of the Siemens Digital Industries Software Digital Commerce and Operations
(DI-SW-CAS-DCO) organization, this position will play a critical role in
ensuring the technical design of the Siemens Digital Exchange (S-DEX). Enabling digital commerce requires
understanding of a variety of software and infrastructure principles, patterns
and architectures, as the buying experience becomes an increasingly important
part of the overall product experience.
As such, a scalable, durable and fault-tolerant design that includes
core business systems, delivery infrastructure and interfaces with technical
end-user products and platforms is required.
We are expanding our digital commerce presence and it’s essential to maintain
and extend best-in-class digital commerce capabilities to support this effort. Reporting to the Head of Digital Commerce and
Operations (DCO), you will collaborate with DCO operations and R&D teams,
as well as corporate IT and end-user product development teams within Siemens to
define and deliver an evolving and growing set of commerce capabilities. In
addition, you will be responsible for ensuring strong collaboration with key
stakeholders such as Senior Management, other Siemens business units, Quality
Assurance, Operations, and Security. You
will be a key influencer for DCO knowledge transfer, best practices, technology
selection, capability roadmaps and organizational culture.Responsibilities andPrimary Job FunctionsThe
primary functions of this position are to understand and aggregate requirements
across DCO stakeholders that have architectural implications; provide direction
through the definition of typical architectural artifacts; work closely with DevOps
using agile processes to incorporate architectural improvements Makes individual
contributions in areas of recommending architectural clarity or improvements to
product management including product specifications, presentation of
capabilities to a wide range of audiences and release planning. Working with other DCO team members, this
position will:Work collaboratively withall levels of the organization to foster excellent internal and externalrelationships
Work closely with internaland external stakeholders to keep architectural considerations at the forefrontof future design decisions required to meet Siemens Digital Industries’objectives
Produce and present architecturaldesigns and technology in accordance with the product owner and operationsrequirements
Work in DCO agile processesto create stories and work with Devops to plan releases
Create architectural artifactsranging from executive level presentations to detailed sequence diagrams
Required Knowledge/Skills,Education, and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree with atleast 7+ years of IT experience (5+ years with Master’s Degree)
At least 2 years’experience as a software architect
At least 1 years’experience in scrum, CICD, and devops
Experienced with corebusiness systems such as Salesforce.com and SAP
Experience in digitalcommerce
Experience in CASE/ERD
Preferred Knowledge/Skills,Education, and ExperienceCustomer Experience (CX) background
Design patterns
Sequence Diagrams and other architectural tools
