Job Description

This position has the primary responsibility for breakdown maintenance for all production areas. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.

Start up and shut down of injection molding machines
Start up and shut down of auxiliary equipment
Perform mold changes
Perform limited adjustments of machine parameters to ensure parts are being produced according to specification with the guidance from the Process Troubleshooter.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Basic understanding of the following principles for machine troubleshooting using schematics and operating manuals. Willing to mature that understanding with assistance and self-study. o Processing o Hydraulic o Electric o Pneumatic o Mechanical
Maintenance of molding machines and auxiliary equipment on Daily o Preventative
Non-tooling maintenance o Minor tool repairs and cleaning
Comply with OSHA Safety and Health regulations, along with other federal, state, and local regulations regarding environmental, industrial, and electrical mandates.

Qualifications

Educational Level
up to a 2-year technical, or related degree or 3 years related experience

Comprehension/Reasoning Skills
This position requires the ability read, comprehend, and follow the Operating

Instructions and Manufacturing Specifications for the work being performed by in molding.

Ability to read and understand machine set up and operation sheets.

Math Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Other Skills and Abilities
This position requires corrected eyesight of 20/20 for the visual quality inspections that are performed on parts.
Accurate completion of all required documentation
