assist to service, replace,construct, assemble and fit components for machinery, installations and other equipment
assisting the team with breakdowns;
assist with maintaining, overhauling and commission machines and equipment, engineering systems and industrial plant installations
fit and assemble metal parts, tools or subassemblies, including weldedparts;
set-up and/or operate hand and machine tools, machines or other measuring equipment
fault find, diagnose and repair equipment and machinery during production/operations processes
identify spares requirements for assembly
interpret detailed engineering drawings and flow diagrams
Qualifications
Grade 12
NQF Level 4 Fitting Certificate or suitable equivalent
2+ years work experience as an Assistant Fitter & Turner in a plant or manufacturing environment;
knowledge of fitting and turning techniques,tools and principles;
knowledge of equipment selection and application of basic lifting techniques;
