This is a full time non-exempt position and is responsible for providing general support through production of monthly financial statements, loan closing and mortgage servicing support. This position will work with and report to the Director of Finance. This position will be responsible for daily accounting functions including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, insurance compliance, vendor management, sales tax and internal controls. As a nonprofit, preparation of monthly Board reports will be required in conjunction with the Director of Finance.
This position will also be responsible for daily loan functions including financial review of incoming applications, processing loan files for closing and monitoring delinquencies. This position will also be properly screened and trained as a Qualified Loan Originator (QLO). In this role, this position will discuss loan terms and/or the applicants financial qualification requirements, and provide the applicant guidance in completing the application. Interaction with prospective and current partner families will be frequent so background or aptitude in client service is a plus. This position will also process loan files in preparation for final loan closing.
Requirements
Accounting degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years experience in QuickBooks required
Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organization
Commitment to excellent customer service
Excellent computer skills required with experience in Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
Meet all deadlines agreed upon by the DF
Sensitivity to confidential information
Ability to pass criminal background and credit check and pre-employment drug screening test
