Allied Universal is seeking Professional Evening Downtown Ambassador. Our Ambassadors and security officers allow us to contribute to our company’s core purpose of providing unparalleled service, systems and solutions to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses of our communities.The major emphasis of the MSD is working to ensure that Downtown is a safe and inviting place for those who work here, those who live here and those who visit to dine, shop or be entertained. Uniformed and highly trained Ambassadors are specifically charged with the responsibility of achieving these objectives.The Ambassador team works seven days a week, from 7am to 10pm from Mondays through Thursday. Hours on Fridays and Saturday are 7am to 11pm. Sunday hours are 9am to 5:30pm. Safe and Clean Ambassador Duties
Concierge assistance
"Eyes and Ears" for local law enforcement
Foot patrols
Referrals to human service programs
Street Sheet Resource Guide for social services
Reporting inoperable street lights
Security escorts (call or text for confirmation)
Trespass monitoring
Graffiti removal
Special litter pick-up
Sticker removal
Sidewalk pressure washing
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent with a valid driver's license
Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.
As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
Able to:
Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
