Experience what it feels like to be part of an organization that makes a difference!Job Purpose/ BackgroundSitting at the intersection of business and technology, this role would work closely with team members, Aladdin developers, and other partners within various business divisions to innovate, conceptualize, design, and build new capabilities to simplify the process.As a Product Manager focused on Aladdin Accounting, responsibilities include: leading, managing, crafting, and executing on our product vision. Aladdin Accounting extends the scope of investment operations solutions that Aladdin provides to our clients as a single front to back investment platform. Additionally, the role will be accountable for defining Aladdin product strategy, being highly commercial, guiding products and being engrained in the entire product lifecycle.Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain financial reporting analytics using Aladdin data in accordance with end user requirements;
Partner with Aladdin engineers to craft and deliver accounting and performance solutions for the Aladdin community;
Analyze and improve performance of current financial reporting applications and related operational workflows, including implementation of new workflow tools;
Demonstrate business intelligence and big data analysis to analyze reporting trends to optimize and improve the existing financial reporting process;
Understand the complexities of shareholder reports including financial documents and other key areas;
Assist with the automation of key regulatory filings such as SEC Form N-PORT, N-CSR, N-MFP, and N-CEN;
Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple internal and external partners;
Be a self-starter and work with minimal direct supervision in a team environment.
Qualifications
A passion for engineering highly available, performant systems with a “Student of Markets and Technology” attitude
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of hands-on experience with scripting and data analysis with Python / Perl and open source framework in software design and development. Experience in financial services preferred (investment banking/asset management)
Knowledge of software development standard methodologies (analysis, design, development, testing) and in relational database development and at least one NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)
Experience in public accounting, mutual fund administration or mutual fund accounting
Enthusiasm and ability to work in a team-environment, multi-tasking, flexibility skills are a must.
