Position is fully remote but will require some travel from time to time for testing once design is in prototype stage.Skills:pcb design, hardware design, altium, System Verilog, Verilog, PSpice, Quartus, UVM, ModelSimAdditional Skills & Qualifications:1) Working from a requirements specification:a. Design new circuit cards to include sub-circuits, component selection, drawing schematics, performing layout, generating GERBERs and BOM, packaging for prototype buildb. Receive, inspect, energize, test, and troubleshoot assembled prototype in a lab settingc. Revise requirements specifications as needed during design iteration2) Reverse engineer existing designs with obsolescence issues:a. Design a form-fit-function backward compatible module.b. Select alternate components and/or revised circuitsc. Revise existing requirements specification to ensure that they are consistent with the new design.3) During the design process:a. Use the applicable development tools (e.g., in System Verilog, Altera, etc.) to generate synthesizable logicb. Develop engineering test-bench coding in a lab environment to validate design assumptionsc. Use the on-board programmable devices to test and validate the logic functions 4) Working knowledge of, and experience with:a. Altiumb. Quartusc. ModelSim / QuestaSimd. PSpicee. SystemVerilog amplyf.
