SR&R is currently looking for an experienced Diesel Truck and Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our company in Wilmington. You would maintain all of our trucks and heavy equipment for our Environmental and Industrial Services fleet including vacuum trucks, road tractors, small diesel trucks, and a few gas engine vehicles. 99% of the work would be in our shop in Wilmington.
Job Requirements:
-Must be experienced in the repair and maintenance of diesel engine vehicles and heavy duty equipment and also small engines according to factory and dealership specifications.
-Must possess an ability to perform duties in an efficient and professional manner.
-Must have strong communication skills, professional conduct, and dedicated work ethic.
-We would prefer you have your own tools.
-We would like a high energy self-starter that can make decisions, requires only limited supervision and work in a team environment.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Possess appropriate tool set
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Replace or repair damaged and malfunctioning parts after doing inspection.
Do routine maintenance
Inspect the parts and systems that make up the machine or vehicle.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Reviews, completes repairs identified on Work Orders.
Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
Must keep records of repairs and service operations
Willing to work overtime as required.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Keeps shop and work area clean and safe.
Replenishes shop supplies; picks up repair parts from various locations.
Team player with can-do attitude with excellent communication skills both verbally and written,
Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and representatives of other organizations
Valid driver's license
