Summary: Drives dump trailer equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as shingles, underlayment paper, small jobsite trash, palettes and other roofing materials by performing the following duties:
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Age Limit:Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
Equipment: Must have own truck capable of pulling up to 3 tonnes of roofing material.
Must have a clean driving record.
Knowledge and understanding of all DOT rules and regulations. General knowledge of truck maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives truck to job site destination, pick up from job site and drive to Landfill.
Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water and all fluids and performs pre and post trip inspections.
Responsible for the condition of personal vehicle. For example, keeps truck clean and in good working order, following all DOT regulations.
Inspects material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and is secure and reviews shipping documents to verify all information is accurate.
Maintains driver log for all job sites.
Driver must be in DOT Compliance at all times during employment and must maintain a clean driving record.
Drivers are responsible for setting their own brakes
