Balding Brothers is a full-service Design/Build general contracting company serving the greater Wilmington area. We offer in-house design services for projects ranging from large additions to full house remodels and new construction projects.

Responsibilities
Hands-on performance of all project related: demolition, framing and finish carpentry, cabinetry installation, window & door installation, exterior siding and trim, appliance & fixture installation and other project-related tasks as needed
Supervise apprentices and other construction workers
Maintain a clean, safe and organized job site at all times
Keep supervisor informed of job progress on a daily basis
Anticipate ongoing needed materials, supplies, and drawings in advance
Maintain personnel time records and job reports for each project
Be able to lift and use safely all tools and materials necessary in the construction trade
Determine specifications and calculate requirements
Prepare layouts using measuring tools
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
Coordinate subcontractors on site and help solve any layout issues that arise
Education
Apprenticeship completed
Courses completed in carpentry
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Qualifications
Reliable vehicle and ability to transport all necessary tools & equipment
A complete expanded inventory of hand and power tools
Ten years of carpentry experience
Extensive knowledge of all phases of a remodeling project
Ability to read blueprints, layout project from the foundation up, and follow contract documents
Knowledge of basic building and mechanical code requirements

Compensation
$22-26 per hour based on experience
