The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, engineering, and construction fields, is currently hiring for the following for a long term position, working rotating shifts in the Wilmington, North Carolina area:
MAINTENANCE MECHANICS
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of continuous and current experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a Petrochemical or industrial manufacturing environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
Perform troubleshooting repairs on automated equipment
Provide base controls troubleshooting and programming
Perform simple Machinist duties and responsibilities
Perform Mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines including high-speed packaging equipment such as bottle filters, case erectors, palletizers, de-palletizers, drop packers, various types of conveyors and other equipment.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and document all activities associated with plant equipment
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times
Maintain clean and orderly work areas
Execute maintenance activities as directed by Maintenance Supervisor, and may include keeping records, monitoring maintenance costs, and production performance
The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must possess the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other pre-qualifications as required.
