RCG, a licensed investigative firm established in 1976 specializes in working with insurance companies and third-party administrators and/or their defense counsel. Our specialties include worker's compensation, disability, bodily injury, and general liability claims. We conduct activities checks, background investigations, surveillance, locations, subrogation, and general insurance claim handling. RCG has regional offices located in the Midwest and Southeast. This opportunity is an entry level position as a surveillance investigator in Eastern, NC and surrounding area and will report to our Charlotte, NC office. The criteria for the position varies, however minimum requirements include either a college degree (Criminal Justice preferred), previous experience with a private investigative firm, past experience as an investigator for a Special Investigative Unit of an insurance company, military experience, or previous experience within the law enforcement community. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office and good people skills. The position requires the investigator to travel extensively and to maintain a flexible schedule as the hours that the individual operates fluctuate. Overtime opportunities are abundant. Weekend work is common. The investigator must be capable of operating under minimal direction. A clean criminal record along with a clean driving record is required.
