Are you an experienced Right of Way Real Estate Appraiser?Are you have General/Residential Real Estate Appraiser certification?Looking for a great place to work, with great benefits, and a true family atmosphere?If you answered yes, then we have a great job for you.i The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has an opening for a Highway Right of Way Appraiser.i Your work will be guided by Federal and State laws, agency policies and procedures, and is performed under the supervision of the Right of Way Appraiser.The OpportunityYou'll be challenged with conducting administrative work reviewing and evaluating property appraisals related to Highway Right of Way.i In this role you will:Review all appraisal reports within a geographic area and evaluate the completeness, accuracy, and consistency.iAssisting management in evaluating fee appraiser applications.Periodically analyzing and rating fee appraiser's quality of work, promptness of delivery, and conformity of reports to departmental and appraisal contract standards.What You BringTo win this role, you need to submit an application that clearly shows you have experience:Interpreting data to assure that State and Federal regulations have been adhered to.Reviewing appraisals of staff and Fee Appraisers to assure that they have arrived at fair market value.Communicating with other appraisers and the public.In staff development training process.With Microsoft Word, Excel, and scanning software.Additionally, you need the following education and experience:Bachelor's degree in business, economics, real estate, civil or structural engineering, architecture, or a related field.4 or more years experience in right of way or real estate appraisal workCertification as an NC State General or General/Residential Real Estate Appraiser.Or, a High School/GED diploma and 8 years of experience in right of way or real estate appraisal work, including four years in right of way work,Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
