Hartsoe & Associates, P.C. is a small Winston Salem-based law firm in search of a long-term full-time Administrative Assistant to join our family.

Qualifications-required

- Strong computer skills

- Strong phone skills

- Insured vehicle and valid license

- Prior office experience

- Motivated, self-starter, can follow directions, detail oriented

Qualificationspreferred

- Prior law firm experience

- Spanish as second or primary language

- Experience using scanners and other office equipment

Job Description

- Open and process mail (date stamp, scan, distribute)

- Answer phones on frequent basis behind the receptionist/admin person, deal with clients and prospective clients, make appointments, etc. Must be able to make a good impression with folks on the phone.

- Drive to courthouses in Forsyth and surrounding counties, pickup and file documents

- Drive to other law firms or places to deliver or pick up documents, etc.

- Assist paralegals with many things, including some light drafting of simple documents in Word

- Prepare and mail out all office outgoing mail

- Fax documents

- Filing of documents both to hard file and on computer system

- Make supply runs

- Help keep premises tidy (we have a cleaning person)

- Anything else we need done!

This is NOT a paralegal position, and will not lead to one. We like to hire for a long-time relationship, and care about and value our people. We expect excellence in the work done and the attitude in doing it. Must be able to juggle several tasks to get them all done efficiently and on time, with few mistakes.
