We are looking for the best Safety Manager in the area to join our team to work on commercial projects around the Rapid City area. We offer immediate growth and training potential for workers dedicated to their craft. Candidates must have construction experience and be willing to travel within a one hour radius of Rapid City.
Job Description/Duties
⢠Conduct detailed job site inspections that include, but are not limited to, inspecting general condition of the job site, crew safety compliance (including subcontractors), inspection of PPE, inspection of quality of work being done, and onsite training.
⢠Makes recommendations concerning the modification, improvement, or removal of any company equipment, facilities, or machinery that is hazardous to employee health or safety.
⢠Maintains all site required documentation related to safety issues.
⢠Ensure all employees are in compliance with OSHA standards and the RCS Safety Handbook.
⢠Support continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.
Requirements/Responsibilities
⢠Experience and knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards.
⢠Must be willing to obtain or possess current OSHA 10 + 30 hour instructor certification.
⢠Effective organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
⢠Must be able to effectively communicate with all Office Staff, Project Management, Job-Site Superintendents/Foreman, Employees, and required Project Personnel.
⢠Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Construction Safety Manager preferred.
⢠CPR/First Aid Instructor Training Certification
⢠OSHA 500 + 510 Course Completion preferred
