Versatile & Flexible Mechanic; Experience in Vehicle, Heavy Equipment/Truck Repair, Small Engines, Automotive Electrical, Preventative Maintenance, and Troubleshooting. This is a temporary position starting ASAP for a duration of approximately 3 months. If desired this could be a full-time, year-round position.
Also prefer some experience with Crusher Plants, Batch Plants and Conveyor Systems.
Some Heavy Equipment Operator experience and a CDL is a plus.
Position involves some heavy lifting of up to 90 pounds, occasional long or odd hours, willingness to perform other tasks as required.
This position is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of a heavy equipment fleet with some end dump and haul trucks, management of shop facility, maintenance of safety standards in the shop, outside fueling, greasing and maintenance of equipment in the field.
Hunz is a small company located in a small community of approx. 800 people with a substantial summer population increase. Therefore, we require someone flexible, willing to learn, willing to teach, and someone who is safety conscious. Hunz is a non-smoking environment. We have a 6,000 sq ft heated shop, mostly Caterpillar equipment. We are a laid-back company that treats our employees and each other with respect.
