Job Description:
HireQuest Direct in Dickinson is hiring for an experienced Metal Cutter / Torch operator to cut scrap metal at a local recycling yard! It is full-time and temporary. Pay is $20 per hour. Previous propane/oxygen torch cutting experience required.
Responsibilities:
Cut steel, iron, and other various metals into sections using a propane/oxygen cutting torch
Prepare oversized, unprepared scrap metal to the proper size and length for use in the Melt Shop
Use industrial sized gas & oxygen cutting torch / equipment.
Wear all Hot Metals Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), always.
Shows a safety-first mindset
Be physically able to lift, push, pull 50-75lbs
Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs.
Works well with team members or independently; gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have own Steel Toed Boots & FR clothing
