Magnum Companies, a 40 year old asset based transportation company with 550+ trucks across multiple divisions, plus warehousing and brokerage, is looking for an experienced recruiter partner to help us grow. We have an experienced and stable team, and are known among the industry to offer excellent equipment, above average driver pay, stable and consistent freight, and a driver friendly culture. We are willing to consider different locations, which include Fargo ND, Minneapolis MN, Chicago IL or Greensboro NC; or possibly other locations for the right candidate. This position will focus on hiring Over the Road drivers for both our long haul refrigerated division, our regional dry van fleet, and could grow to encompass other duties.
Duties:
(1) Be a self-managed leader, owning processes to completion
(2) Have ideas and work with the team on ways to continually improve Magnum recruiting
(3) Review applications and interview candidates via telephone to select qualified individuals, that are the right fit for Magnum.
(4) Track most appropriate and cost-effective forum for advertising driving positions (print, web, social media, etc).
(5) Receive and respond timely to all driver inquiries regarding employment by phone, email or other means.
(6) Visit truck driving schools and attend job fairs on a consistent basis to build relationships, recruit new drivers and grow our dock-to-driver program.
(7) Run required background reports, including DAC, MVR, PSP, and criminal background reports on qualified candidates.
(8) Coordinate the pre-employment drug and alcohol screening process and schedule new employees for orientation, (including transportation and hotel/lodging arrangements if need be.)
(9) Ensure all hiring qualifications are met and required documentation is obtained prior to hire.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (flexible and will involve some travel)
Pay: Competitive Salary DOE
