The Welder Crew member is a critical part of the K&T Irrigation Field Service Team. Welders work on hookups for large irrigation pipelines, millwrighting on grain sites, repairing customer's equipment in field. When not working on a welding project, the welding crew member works with the construction team on a variety of irrigation and grain construction projects.
Experience is helpful, but not required. However, we do require:
Positive, flexible, teamwork attitude
Willingness to travel overnight and work a significant amount of overtime during the peak seasons
Ability to work hard while performing physically demanding work in the field - including standing/walking most of the day, kneeling, squatting, using a ladder, operating hand tools, etc.
Education & Work Experience:
Candidates with CDLs and great driving records are preferred. On-the-job CDL training also available.
Must be able to pass a series of stick welding tests. Welds must be water tight, structurally sound, and presentable.
Some crews travel significantly including many overnights (generally 4 nights a week).
Must be over 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
