Primary Operational Objectives:

An Electronics Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of weather radar systems at our base facility as well as on field project locations.

Essential Job Functions:

Computer and instrument configuration.

General computer operations and maintenance.

Development and troubleshooting of electronic circuits.

Wiring of aircraft data systems and instrumentation.

Installation, testing and calibration of electronic equipment and instrumentation.

Updating/maintaining/integration of data acquisition systems on board cloud seeding and atmospheric research aircraft.

Assembly of electronics and mechanical systems.

Verification and testing of electronic equipment to assure its operating within OEM standards.

Collaboration with both internal and external team members.

Work within a project team with adherence to timelines and deadlines.

Communicate and work effectively with supervisors, co-workers and external clients.

Maintain a clean and organized office work area.

Providing positive public relations and maintaining a professional image.

Responsible to follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Must be able to work hours as directed by your supervisor.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Degree or certificate from accredited college, university or technical school in Electronics.

Strong electronics and mechanical skills.

2+ years of experience servicing electronic equipment.

Knowledge of electrical components, electronics and electronic test equipment.

Must have a valid passport, or able to acquire one.

Must be able to obtain security clearance when necessary.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, in English.

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality/use of tact and discretion.

Basic knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions, including aircraft accessories, components and other hardware.

Must be able to work independently

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling.

Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

Frequent work in small places, extreme temperatures, heights above 6 ft and noisy environments.
