The right candidate will progress through a series of training courses (OJT, Classroom, CBT with an assigned mentor). Candidates progression will be assessed periodically with the expectation of acquiring the required skills needed to become a Machinist. After initial training candidates will be placed on 2nd or 4th shift depending on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Must adhere to all EH & S regulations and policies as well as attend related training courses.
Follow the EH & S roles and responsibilities in accordance with the Cargo Policy MP5322.
Perform setups and make adjustments to setups on CNC equipment as required while receiving direction from an assigned mentor.
Complete satisfactory work with minimum supervision while receiving direction from an assigned mentor.
Acquire required knowledge which will allow you to interpret drawings, sketches, blueprints with a goal of being proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to allow for product acceptance without oversight.
Ability to learn how to set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines. (CMM)
Show a continued interest in good housekeeping and safety practices.
Develop awareness for support groups and demonstrate teamwork.
Engage in Continuous Improvement (ACE) activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Mechanically Inclined
Quick Learner
Strong background in Math with capability to learn GD&T
Ability to occasionally lift 35 lbs.
