Project OverviewFlexTek Global’s Customer has request FLEXTEK participate in the installation of their digital signage platform across their Clients retail stores throughout the United States. We are accepting candidates across the US as we have multiple sites in every state. The project consists of installing a training TV in the employee lounge at each retail store. The TV will be mounted to a rolling stand. One category 5e cable will need to be run from the closest distribution closet (main or intermediate distribution frames) to the employee lounge. The cable will need to drop down the wall. The technician will be required to cut a hole in the sheetrock 44-inches off the floor. The cable and cut out must be near the existing time clock in the employee lounge. The jack will be connected to the mood media device installed on the back of the TV and patched into an available switches port between 42 and 46 on the switch in the closet. Material will be provided and shipped to the technician.Skill(s) & Licenses

Data Technicians, with respects to any project would be considered smart hands resource that require step – by – step instructions when it comes to entering in Cisco line commands and syntax.
Data technicians can only troubleshoot cabling. They cannot troubleshoot/debug any issues with Cisco Configurations. FLEXTEK initial concerns regarding the use of CCNA is the impact on Cisco maintenance with respects to changing out memory. FLEXTEK will not be held liable for any issues regarding an uncertified technician opening Cisco hardware onsite, or the limitations associated with the standard Data Technician skill set.

• Knows, understands, and can explain to a helper tech TIA/EIA cable standard.
• Can install, terminate, and troubleshoot Category 3, 5e and 6 cable (Fiber cable is considered out of scope)
• Can, at the direction of others, enter in basic line command configurations into routers/switches (unable to handle more complex configurations such as but not limited to: VLANS, dial peers, QoS, etc.). - However, for this engagement is not required.
• Provide Rack and Stack services (routers, switches, AP)
• Can patch in cables from patch panels to switches using customer supplied port mapping (however not required for this engagement)

If the proper expectations of the Data Technician are kept in mind, regarding their primarily "rack and stack" focused Cisco knowledge, the first four sites have shown that Data Technicians can execute the requested tasks with remote support. Nonetheless, FLEXTEK takes no responsibility for technician knowledge, other than:

• Possession of the Customer provided instruction document.
• Possession of the agreed upon tools specified in these assumptions.
• Experience with rack and stacking Cisco hardware.
• Possession of a Cisco console cable, a laptop to which it can be attached, an appropriate terminal emulator program, and the knowledge required to connect the cable and talk to the Cisco router via terminal emulation.

Note: Any work required outside this scope of work is outside a DT defined skill sets will be considered out of scope, handled under CR and billable. A separate visit may also be required.
ExperienceTwo plus year experience in pulling cable, terminating cable, troubleshooting cable and installing hardware.
