Hotel General Manager, Wester Region of North Dakota.
Seeking an experienced and ambitious Motel General Manager to lead on-going operations at a property located in Western ND. It is extremely preferred that the GM live on-site in the master suite, including a full kitchen and bathroom and private access.
The GM candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel in an effort to grow occupancy and enhance financial controls, leading to an increase in profitability. Additionally, the GM candidate will be instrumental in creating an operational strategy. The successful General Manager candidate will have the knowledge, leadership and professional experience to help create and implement our vision of making the hotel a friendly destination for guests to stay.
Responsibilities:
-Being able to learn and operate the reservation system, property management, HR and housekeeping programs.
Anticipate needs of ownership by meeting and exceeding key indicators, including profitability, RevPAR, and total revenue.
-Direct the daily operations and property management divisions of the hotel in an extremely hands-on approach; including front desk, rooms, housekeeping, maintenance coordination and administration.
-Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing program in an effort to increase occupancy.
Oversee the performance of all departments, provide guidance and assistance in the execution of departmental responsibilities.
-Provide leadership and direction to all team members to ensure that all matters and tasks are handled in a timely manner and that all guest expectations are met.
-Actively and regularly interact with guests and associates, holding daily staff meetings and coordination with ownership.
-Motivate team members by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback and rewarding and recognizing employees.
-Assist departments when needed during high volume periods.
-Oversee purchasing and payroll submissions.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in hotel management or similar industry
Must have attention to detail, ability to set priorities, multi task and meet deadlines
Demonstrated Leadership, communication and team building skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experienced in coaching, training and counseling employees
Front desk management or revenue management experience preferred
Enthusiasm for hospitality, adventure and experiences are a must
Compensation based on experience. On-site manager suite; including full kitchen and bathroom.
