Acme Tools, a proudly family-owned premier retailer of tools and equipment that serves contractors, woodworkers, and doityourselfers, is currently in search of a Large Equipment Technicians for our Bismarck, Minot, and Williston, ND locations.
What your day job will entail: The Large Equipment Technician will troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, hydraulic systems, as well as Gas and Diesel Engines. Equipment most commonly worked on by Large Equipment Technicians include boom lifts, scissor lifts, industrial forklifts, variable reach forklifts, tractors, skid steers, light towers, air compressors, generators, excavators, and mowers. This individual must be willing to cross train in other repair areas as well, as they may be asked to work on anything that we sell at Acme.
A Large Equipment Technician may be asked to perform service calls on the road and communicate with customers about the status and location of repairs needed. This individual must be willing to work outside in all seasons.
The Large Equipment Technician is responsible for cleaning up tools and messes after each project, keeping indoor and outdoor work stations clean and clear from obstructions, as well as maintaining clean and working service trucks. This position will assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards, striving to improve safety standards, and reporting any suspicious activity.
This position requires clear communication with the Service Supervisor, as well as the Parts department to ensure parts are ordered and received in a timely manner. Accurate record keeping including parts ordered and hours worked on equipment is essential to the success of a Large Equipment Technician.
This position will perform related tasks as assigned.
Requirements: Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record; ability to lift 75 lbs, Previous experience working with DC Voltage controls, Hydraulics, Gas and Diesel Engines
Preferred Skills and Experience: Computer and Customer Service Skills
