Job SummaryThis posting is for two positions to be filled as a Design Coordinator II or III depending on experience/background. The position(s) will be a part of the newly formed SOS team. The role(s) will be responsible for support/oversight of the SOS accelerated process, specifically, partnering with SOS team to develop and implement SOS accelerated identification and assessment process, provide oversight of implemented process, review confirmed SOS site facilities, contribute to decisions for remediation, support oversight of resources to complete table top reviews, packet creation and site visits and may manage SOS remediation projects as necessary. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceMinimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications): Design Coordinator II Associate degree with 3+ years’ experience in Engineering or related field OR High school diploma or GED with 5+ years' experience in Engineering or related field Knowledge of engineering design principles, theories, and practices. Ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology, to solve broadly-defined engineering design problems. Effective oral, writing, and graphical communication skills, including technical writing. Ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature. Ability to function effectively independently, and as a member of an engineering design team. Good organizational and project management skills. Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of applicable software programsDesign Coordinator III Associate degree with 5+ years’ experience in Engineering or related field OR High school diploma or GED with 7+ years' experience in Engineering or related field In-depth knowledge of engineering design principles, theories, and practices. Ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology, to solve broadly-defined engineering design problems. Strong oral, writing, and graphical communication skills, including technical writing. Ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature. Ability to function effectively independently, and as a member of an engineering design team. Excellent organizational and project management skills.
