Fireside Tax, Inc., a small but respected and growing accounting firm looking for a seasonal accountant/tax preparer. We have been in business since 2004. Approximately 75% of revenue is currently from tax preparation but while that continues to grow accounting and payroll are continuing to grow as a percentage of the business. We took second place in the Repository's Best of the Best for Best Tax Service for 2017 (the firm that beat us has over 35 accountants). We are looking for an experienced candidate with the ability to become a part of the family. As we grow so will you. We are also open to the right student or recent graduate.
We are looking for someone full-time but can be flexible. Last season this position handled 250 returns as well as Quickbooks bookkeeping entries and project research. Successful candidate needs to have at least an associates degree in accounting or a student who has passed both personal and business tax classes with a B+ or better grade. Compensation will be at $12 per hour plus 5% commission on all fees and billings. Last year during tax season this position averaged around $18 per hour.
