We are an Akron-based Real Estate Management firm operating housing in Ohio, North Carolina and Colorado. We presently have LIVE-IN positions for qualified Maintenance Technicians/Assistants in housing communities for the Elderly and the Disabled in Akron and in Coventry Twp.
The compensation for this position includes a rent-free one-bedroom apartment.
The candidate must have a combination of training and education in basic plumbing, light electrical and carpentry, painting, apartment preparation and cleaning. This person will also be required to perform seasonal outdoor work such as snow removal on sidewalk areas and some light landscape duties to enhance each property's curb appeal. As stated above, this position will require the candidate to reside in an attractive rent-free apartment unit with all utilities paid in order to quickly respond to occasional emergencies. This person will also be required to share on-call duties on weekends, evenings and Holidays each 3-4 weeks with other maintenance technicians and will often need to travel to other local housing sites to perform those emergency maintenance duties. In addition to a mileage allowance, an on-call "fee" and will be paid to staff for each day of this extra duty and all hours worked over the standard 40 hour schedule will, by law, be compensated with Overtime pay. General work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
In addition to bi-weekly pay, compensation will also include an employer matching 401-K Pension Plan, Paid Time Off for Illness and Vacation, 2 annual "Floating" Holidays, 8 Paid Holidays, Health Care Coverage Option, Uniforms, etc. Candidates MUST have a valid, Ohio Driver's license at the time of Application and a "spotless" background with no criminal convictions.
