ASSEMBLERS, PRODUCATION ASSOCIATES
SH Distributing, Inc., a fast growing company, is a manufacturer, wholesale distributor and licensed transporter of quality marine and recreational products that specializes in trailers from Yacht Club, Sport Club, Eagle and our own Sport Haven brand. We also offer a full line of docks and boat hoists from Shore Master and Shoreline Industries. In addition to manufacturing and distribution, we represent several of the top-selling boat lines in the country, including Berkshire, South Bay, Trifecta and NauticStar.
A family owned business since 1991, SH Distributing, Inc. has established a large network of dealers in the Midwest and Northeast. Our warehouse in Burbank, Ohio, houses a wide selection of inventory delivered in our own fleet of trucks, ensuring that new boats or trailers arrive at their destination with the same care and quality we put into our manufacturing.
The Assembler is responsible for assembling trailers properly, timely, safely and efficiently using assembly guidelines. The role inspects the material and parts for any deficiencies and makes sure that all are corrected. A successful candidate is a detail oriented, multi-tasker with the ability to handle assignments efficiently and accurately.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safe and proper use of various hand, air and power tools.
- Properly identify and inspect all parts for defects to ensure quality products.
- Assembles trailers per assembly guidelines.
- Inspects all connections to ensure they are properly assembled.
- Assures deficiencies are corrected as needed.
- Completes and forwards required paperwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be experienced or willing to learn the use of various hand, air and power tools.
- Must be able to read and understand assembly guidelines.
- Mechanical aptitude a plus.
- Basic math and ability to read a tape measure.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to frequently bend and stoop.
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a lifting and carrying requirement of up to 50 lbs.
