Quality Supervisor

FULL-TIME

$33/hr

This job is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards in a dual jurisdiction facility (FDA and USDA).

Duties include:


- Serving as an SQF practitioner & HACCP coordinator in the facility.


- Verifying sanitation pre-operational inspections and advise the sanitation management of any deficiencies.

- Responsible for FSQA pre-operational inspection & plant start-up in the mornings.


- Developing corrective actions whenever necessary; assist in determining the root cause and develop preventative actions.


- Participating in the development, training, execution, and verification of all food safety and quality systems.


- Reviewing, monitoring, organizing, and maintaining the routine paperwork related to the quality, regulatory, food safety, sanitation, SQF, and customer-specific documentation.

- Updating procedures/forms and train team members on new practices when necessary.


- Ensuring compliance to all regulatory, customer, and corporate programs. Participates in regulatory, customer, and internal audits, and maintains federal, state, and local plant compliance.


- Performing and co-lead the internal auditing program.


- Ensuring company policies and procedures are fairly implemented and administered between departments and shifts.


- Ensuring sanitary conditions and product quality and safety while reporting conditions/practices that may adversely affect food safety, quality, or employee safety.


- Maintaining technical competency in plant computer programs and quality-related systems


- Investigating and resolving holds customer complaints and challenges to efficiency.


- Innovating to improve the effectiveness of the quality system to better serve the business.


- Leading the HACCP/Food Safety team

Schedule

Shift start: 5:30AM
Shift length: 10 hours
Monday-Friday, some weekends and evenings required

Qualifications
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Can lift 30 lbs
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
At least 2 years in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

Prior supervisory experience preferred.

HACCP and SQF certified preferred; must have a broad knowledge of HACCP USDA GMP SSOP's.

Basic computer skills for creating simple queries spreadsheets etc.

SAP knowledge preferred.
