Cable Communications Installer, Lead

We are currently seeking a Communications Installer and a Lead Communications Installer to provide their expertise in a small team academic setting.
Position Summary
We are seeking someone with knowledge of data communication cable termination techniques to serve on a small team converting existing 110 block terminations to RJ45 patch panels in a live campus network environment.
Responsibilities include:
⢠Perform work necessary to convert existing cable terminations from 110 block to RJ45 patch panel
⢠Document patch panels and connections to network equipment
⢠Provide regular progress updates to Lead Communications Installer
Additional duties for the Lead Communications Installer include:
⢠Serving as technical lead of a small team of personnel and would be
⢠Responsible for training team members,
⢠Supervising and assigning work,
⢠QA of work performed,
⢠Track use rate of materials,
⢠Provide project status updates regularly.
Position Qualifications
⢠Knowledge of communications cabling termination techniques
⢠Familiarity with network equipment cabling interconnects and documentation
⢠Requires extensive standing, walking, repetitive use of hand tools, working from tall ladders, working in damp, dusty, warm, cold, and noisy conditions
⢠Attention to detail
Additional qualifications for the Lead Cable Communications Installer:
⢠Experience serving in a lead technical role assigning work to members of a small team
⢠Minimum of three (3) years directly related work experience in a large-scale facility environment.
