The person in this role will be located at and support the Bucyrus, OhioPlant and report to the Plant Leader for the site.
Role requires strong safety background and ability to learn needed environmental for compliance purposes.
Essential Responsibilities·Responsible for maintaining compliance with all Federal, State, Local and GE EHS regulations and standards.
·Provide strategic and tactical leadership of site performance in meeting EHS goals and objectives.
·Lead continuous improvement of EHS performance including OSHA & LTA reductions, emergency preparedness, site work plans, job safety analysis, ergonomics and process change management.
· Lead employee safety teams, coordinate training, perform audits and maintain EHS related records.
·Provide timely reports to GE corporate EHS staff, and site management.
· Utilize Six Sigma Tools, Processes and controls to further improve processes and reduce EHS costs.
·Responsibilities also include integration of EHS standards applicable to new and existing equipment and processes.t
· Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety or related field.
· Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (including internships).
· Knowledge/experience with Title V air permits
· Knowledge/experience with Stormwater/Wastewater permitting and sampling
