Entry Level - Production Assistant (temporary)
7:00am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri
Pay: $11.50
Duration: Approx. 6-8 weeks
ExpressPoint Technology Services, Inc., a distributor of a broad range of technology products and depot maintenance services, has a full-time opportunity for a Production Assistant. This would be a great opportunity for a college student or anyone who would be available for full-time work through the end of summer. This is a temporary position, however it could become be a temp-to-hire opportunity. We offer a fast-paced and fun environment. Our facility is accessible on the bus line via COTA Plus. Our casual dress code allows us to wear jeans daily!
This position will be supporting our electronics repair process by helping with basic testing, assembly and packaging. Our ideal candidate would be comfortable doing manual work, hand tools and standing for 8 hours. Previous electronics, assembly or manufacturing experience is a plus. However, formal experience is not required. We are willing to train anyone with a good work ethic, reliable transportation and good attendance. Job Duties
- Performs basic testing on electronic products
- Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles. Collects diagnostic information needed and enters it into our tracking software
- Visually inspects product
- Unpacks, cleans, re-labels and re-packages product in relation to above activities
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
Education/Training
- High school diploma or GED preferred and/or
- 0 - 6 months related experience
Other Skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to handle small parts
- High school level math, reading and writing skills desirable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be flexible, adaptable and able to learn new methods and procedures as requested or required to meet company and customer needs
