About the role:

As an IT Application Support Specialist at TQL, you will be responsible for investigating and troubleshooting application issues of a complex nature. You will be working closely with the IT Support, Database and Application Development teams. You will be responsible for identifying bugs and opportunities for improvement in existing applications, and clearly communicating these to the appropriate Application Development team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Investigate, troubleshootand debug application issues of a complex nature, working closely with other TQL IT teams
  • Provide technical support while utilizing advanced troubleshooting skills for existing Software Applications
  • Utilize code reading skills to identify and diagnose potential application issues and assist other employees through problem solving steps
  • Test and document new applications and changes
  • Utilize JIRA to manage inbound support requests
  • Keep an updated list of tasks and projects
  • Develop training material on common troubleshooting techniques and train support technicians
  • Communicate with developers to explain software errors and recommend improvements and changes to existing programs
  • Work with project owners and analysts during system design to determine needs and plan solutions

What you need:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology with Software Development emphasis preferred
  • 2+ years of technical application support experience or equivalent formal training/education
  • Knowledge and experience with C#, NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular or React, MVC, WCF and Web API frameworks preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft tools and technologies, including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and MSSQL Microsoft SQL Server
  • Exceptional customer service skills and must possess the ability to work effectively with users, peers, and management
  • Impeccable organizational skills/ability to multitask between tickets
  • Working knowledge of JIRA is a plus
