In 2011, the plant took on an expansion to add new capacity and continues to innovate and expand today. Electricians are hired as members of a manufacturing team, and they will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment working on a wide range of equipment. Electricians will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment. Electricians will need to be able to estimate the amount and kinds of materials needed, work from all types of blueprints and drawings and performs any other duties as required.The General Mills Cincinnati Plant is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week Operation. We have 3 shifts: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) .and.amp; 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). Changes in volume and production requirements can result in changes in work schedule and additional overtime. Electricians must be willing to work any shift including nights and weekends.Starting pay rate is $27.26 per hour, Which will Increase to $29.54 per hour following a 6 month training period. After the first full year of employment, the pay rate will increase to $32.82 per hour.Main ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will: Be responsible for safe operation of plant controls systems Ensure LOTO documentation is updated/created Ensure hazardous electrical energy is properly secured Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds GMI standards of construction Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, and control systems Support plant maintenance department with PLC troubleshooting at a code level Test various electrical equipment (AC/DC drives, motors and controls) using standard test equipment and observing system/unit operations Design and layout circuits, install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment/components Work with Controls Engineer and Systems Engineer to generate process improvements Provide guidance and support for preventative and predictive maintenance tools Maintain electrical prints (redlines, print books, manuals) Ensure all electrical components are clearly labeled Maintain software maintenance programs Be an active member of the continuous improvement process Ability to communicate effectively across the plant organization, with operators, team leaders and plant staff Goal oriented, self-directed individual needed to stay focused on driving metrics results from reactive to proactive maintenance systems Complete other duties assigned by supervisorRequired Qualifications: A
