The Product Labeling Specialist is responsible for both the technical execution and management of graphic artworks associated with projects related to labeling and graphic development. This includes generating production-ready graphic artworks, completing supporting documentations, maintaining consistency of the Company’s brand standards, and ensuring compliance of any graphic, labeling, and IFU with the industry regulations, standards, and guidelines.RESPONSIBILITIES
High involvement on a cross-functional project teams through all phases of the product development process.
Executes artwork related projects from concept through the launch and initial production ramp-up.
Leads product label changes after launch based on defined needs of the business.
Provides guidance and recommendations on labeling and graphic related projects.
Ensures consistency of all graphic labeling application.
TECHNICAL EXECUTION
Efficient in graphics software tools (such as Adobe products – Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) to create and modify graphic artworks.
Generates production-ready graphic artworks for the following but not limited to:
o Packaging labels
o Applied labels
o IFU (Instructions for Use)
o Reference guides
o Setup guides
o Compatibility guides
o Product graphics
Prepares and reviews supporting documents associated with artwork development.
Develops graphic concepts for the following but not limited to:
Label layout
IFU layout
Icons
Guides
Illustrations
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Leads aspects of project management including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and contingency planning for all graphic artwork applications on new and existing products.
Other duties as assigned.Qualification REQUIRED EDUCATION /SKILLS /EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree required.
Minimum 3 years of experience with graphic related field.
Experience with use of graphics software tools such as such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Experience in designing different types of labels and working with print suppliers.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Experience working in a medical device or FDA regulated industry.
Experience with ISO and other total work systems.
Bachelors’ Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or a related field equivalent preferred.
Basic knowledge of the print process preferred.
