By joining Insight Enterprises as a Senior Systems Administrator, you will join a high-energy and tech-savvy world. We provide hardware, software and support for our customer's most critical IT projects. As such, we are aware of an immediate need for a Systems Admin to be a tech generalist on the 3rd shift, supporting their existing IT environment, monitoring, addressing outages and issues, performing maintenance and updates\patches, etc

Please note, this is a fully remote position, but will be supporting operations out of Cincinnati. Expected compensation is $50-65/hr on our W2, depending on experience and certifications.

What you will be doing:
  • Monitor, Support and Maintain the current environment.
  • Serve as the primary Support resource during this shift.
  • Spend a couple weeks with the day-shift team to get up to speed, and then transfer to the overnight guardian.


What you need to join Insight:
  • At least 5 years of experience monitoring and supporting a heterogenous environment including Linux & Windows Servers.
  • Willingness to work graveyard shift (flexible start time between 10pm - 12am)
  • Experience addressing outages.
  • Experience and knowledge of troubleshooting CentOS & Windows Servers.
  • Experience and knowledge of VMWare vSphere.
  • Good knowledge of Networking and datacenter technologies, switching, routing, high-availability, LAN / WAN / WLAN topologies, Proxies and Load Balancers
  • Experience troubleshooting connectivity issues from within the OS.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Be a strong team player
  • Show flexibility under changing conditions
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal


Nice to have:
  • Experience and knowledge of middleware like Tomcat & Apache.
  • Understanding & experience with configuration tools like Ansible.

Serve as an Authorized Organization Representative for the University and the College of Medicine, coordinating with UC Sponsored Research Services for processing of grant applications, just-in-time requests, grant awards, budget modifications, and subcontracts in accordance with university processes and procedures.
