GENERAL FUNCTION
This position is responsible for leading the execution of all operational activities involved in the set down and opening of new stores, relocations remodels and refreshes. Leads full process for completing a store closures. Responsible for conducting critical site evaluations for turnover; creating onsite solutions for opportunities that could negatively impact on-time, on-scope and on-budget delivery; leading store teams in the visual merchandising process and detailing all work that requires follow-up post project completion. Position is the Brand ambassador to ensure training and development in the standards required for sustainment of the new store environment and visual merchandising execution post-opening. Position involves travel up to 90% to projects throughout N. America MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand current business processes, obstacles and begin to formulate a plan to overcome challenges
• Demonstrate critical thinking; identify gaps and root causes; propose and implement solutions
• Collaborative partnership with cross-functional teams and brand partners; conduct project evaluations and assess results, recommend appropriate process improvements, present updates to leader(s)
• Provide feedback on what is or what is not working and ensure full integration into Store Operations
• Full cycle project leadership across all assigned projects (30-40 annually)
• Execute preparatory conference calls and key partner meetings prior to set down week
• Responsible for the consistent execution of the Visual Merchandising Guidelines and Standards across retails stores for new stores openings, remodels and relocations.
• Partner with Field/Store leadership to develop timelines and calendars for new store deliverables prior to opening
• Support store openings, remodel, relocation, closings, and acquisition operations process working with Brand partners
• Represent the voice of the field by maintaining a working knowledge of store operations and field execution
• Enhance and sustain retail store opening, remodel/relocation and closing manuals and processes
• Serve as operations leader/representative on cross-functional project teams
• Provide stores business enabling support and services, up holding our service level agreement
• Explore and respond Field escalations BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years project management experience or equivalent
• 5+ years in highly technical discipline and/or specialty retail
• Strong organizational skills – project management, time management and prioritizing
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel (complex spreadsheets) ad Power Point
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
• Flexibility in hours worked PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• College degree or equivalent preferred
• State licensure (if applicable) or ABO Certification in non-licensed states
