What you will do

Responsibilities for the Central Station Shift Supervisor include responding to all communication requests and alarm signals appropriately and executing life safety processes and procedures in a central station environment. Lead and coach a team of employees and oversee daily central station events.

How you will do it

• Oversee and assist with operational, customer service, and employee issues independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible for prioritizing work and delegating tasks to ensure proper coverage of functions.
• Independently operate all BSOC equipment and peripheral equipment.
• Lead and oversee training of other event analysts within the central station.
• Interact with external and internal customers via telephone, email and in person independently and promote a positive customer service atmosphere.
• Perform weekly evaluations of assigned analysts, provide timely feedback, and communicate any issues or concerns to QA manager.
• Generate and construct daily reports for management review.
• Research and discover methods for improvement of service, and make detailed recommendations to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including specialized projects.

THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE WORKING IN A SHIFT ENVIRONMENT, SATURDAY AND/OR SUNDAY AND HOLIDAYS.

What we look for

• Demonstrated understanding of common or accepted physical security practices and equipment including, access control, surveillance cameras, CCTV or digital recording, and robbery, facility and life safety alarm functions.
• Self motivated problem solver with demonstrated analytical skill set.
• Good organizational, multi tasking, and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent, college degree or 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, 30 wpm
• Successful completion of CSAA Advanced Central Station Operator Training Course (80%).
• Competency to perform all disaster recovery tasks, including BUSOC operation.
• 12 month experience in a Level 2 Central Station Event Analyst position, Level 3 preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to create access badges and proficient in access software.
• Successful completion of critical skills tests.
• Must be in good standing and have superior attendance record.
• General office environment in a Central Station setting.
• Minimal domestic and international travel will be required.
